Dr. Veronica Yu, B.Sc., D.Ac., D.C.

Dr Veronica Yu graduated from The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1998 and has been serving the communities of St. Thomas and area since.

She completed her undergraduate studies in the areas of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Toronto.
Her interest in Nutrition was ignited when she was accepted into the Mentorship Program at the University of Toronto and subsequently did 2 years of research in the field of Nutritional Sciences with Dr. David Jenkins, Dr. Vladimir Vuksan and Dr. A.Venket Rao at The Risk Factor Modification Center, St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.

Under the guidance of Dr. Sheila Jacobson at The Hospital of Sick Children, she completed a research project in the area of Pediatric Pharmacology.

In her first year of practice, she published a paper on Gender Issues in Distance Education while pursuing a Masters in Distance Education.

During her studies at CMCC, she learned the art and skill of Acupuncture with Dr. Patrick Anthony, studied Nutritional Detoxification with Dr. Ken Peever and became certified in CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation
through the Upledger Institute. She credits her Chiropractor, Dr Barry Shapiro for first offering her a job at his clinic in Rosedale, inspiring her to be come a Chiropractor herself and for being such a powerful mentor through the years.

Her education in the areas of Acupuncture, Acupressure, CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Nutritional Detoxification, Acute Homeopathy and Reiki is a testament to her continued commitment to provide a wide range of services. She has recently achieved her 3rd Degree and Reiki Master Teacher levels.

Dr. Veronica Yu believes that leading by example is one of the best ways to influence. Mechanical balance, proper nutrition, consistent exercise, adequate rest, effective stress neutralizers are key components of her healthy system.
