First Aid is the immediate assistance given to someone experiencing physical distress in order to maintain vital functions until qualified help can be obtained. The Canadian Red Cross courses teach you how to Prevent, Recognize and Treat any First Aid Situation.

Thank you for considering Family Health Options Treatment and Resource Centre as a leading facility to train your employees in First Aid. We are Authorized Providers of the Canadian Red Cross First Aid Training Courses. This means that the standards are set directly by the Canadian Red Cross. Personally I have 13 years experience delivering the First Aid Program as a Red Cross Instructor.

At Family Health Options we have the ability to provide training on dates that would benefit your company.

Course Descriptions:

Standard First Aid:

Recognition, treatment and prevention of airway, breathing and cardiovascular emergencies. Skills include obstructed airway techniques and dealing with severe bleeding. One and two rescuer adult, infant and child CPR . As well as Automated External Defibrilation (AED) training, musculoskeletal, soft tissue and head and spinal injuries; heat and cold emergencies; poisonings and medical conditions such as diabetic crisis, convulsions and severe allergic reactions; mouth and jaw injuries, shaking baby syndrome.

Emergency First Aid:

Recognition, treatment and prevention of airway, breathing and cardiovascular emergencies. Skills include obstructed airway techniques and dealing with severe bleeding. One and two rescuer adult, infant and child CPR. As well as Automated External Defibrilation (AED) training.
